About Me

Hi, I'm Angel... I'm a 29 year old working woman, whose finally enjoying a "private" life.

I've had a passion about my privacy since early 2003... that's when I got smart and walked out of a very bad "live-in" situation. However, the creep didn't take it very well and decided to stalk me. Every time I moved or got a new job, he would somehow find me. I'd change my phone number... but somehow he'd get it and leave threating messages. I got a TRO, but that did no good because the police wouldn't come out unless somebody was actually bleeding. I called all my friends and made them promise not to tell him where I was... but he'd still showed up. He wasn't violent (yet), but it was just a matter of time.

I then came to the realization that the only one who was going to help me was myself. I started doing research on privacy, went to the library, bought several books and Googled everything I could think of. But I found very little that was applicable to my situation. Then one day while I was in Barnes & Noble, I found this book by JJ Luna titled How To Be Invisible. The author is a man in his 70's who's spent a lifetime keeping his life private. He gives practical solutions for everyday living... and it changed my life forever. If there wasn't such an age difference, I'd ask the man to marry me.

Although filled with lots of good information, the original book was lacking when it came to computers and the Internet. Mr. Luna came out with a post 9/11 update in March 2004... but it was still short on suggestions of how to stay private while on the Internet. Now the one thing I didn't mention is that I'm a EE/CE graduate and I'm on the computer all day. I also travel a lot with my work and find myself networked into various places of unknown security. So... over time, I assembled a best-practices plan for maintaining my privacy on the Internet.

Now it's my turn to perhaps, help someone else get their life private. At least as far as the Internet goes. I hope you find this site helpful. If you have any questions or comments, please email me at:
